Patient Advocate uses the wider NHS framework and e-Referral arrangement allowing your employees and their families to receive the right care, at the right time, in the right place, nationwide, in either NHS or private hospitals. Patient Advocate aims to reduce employee absence from work, improve your employee understanding of their health issues and help them you make informed choices about their treatment and care, both in the short and long term.
Patient Advocate provides a completely new and affordable corporate healthcare management model, focused on employees both outside the scope and within the organisations’ private medical insurance arrangements.
We are all entitled to seek second opinions. A second medical opinion (SMO) ensures you receive a comprehensive review of your condition and treatment options. With constant changes in medical science, it is often difficult for any one doctor or consultant to be aware of all the latest information - we see doctors seeking second opinions all the time; consulting with colleagues or specialists has been a tried and tested practice in the medical profession from the very beginning. An SMO is the process of seeking an evaluation by another doctor or consultant to confirm the diagnosis and treatment plan of a primary consultant, or to offer an alternative diagnosis and/or treatment approach.
Self-Funding Healthcare Trusts will generally be used by larger companies/organisations as a more flexible and bespoke method for providing private medical benefits. Trusts form an alternative funding mechanism with the company or organisation self- financing their bespoke plan. The scope of the healthcare benefits, terms and conditions, eligibility criteria can all be customised to meet the needs of the employer and managed by the trustees who scrutinise the management of the scheme.
Your staff can speak directly to a qualified nurse for advice, guidance and reassurance when they have any health concerns, including covid-19 and long term conditions.
